Lightning Ridge to Bourke

  3rd March

Left van park at 9.30 heading for one last soak at the Artesian Baths, be nice to have these where we live & they are free. They are very relaxing, but it does get a bit too warm & you need to get out to cool down,or have a cool shower

Headed back to Walgett, then on to Bourke. The road to Bourke was long and straight with miles of flat bushland each side, then trees, more paddocks, emus, goats and hawks, just so long...so straight.

Tourist information was closed so we decided to stay in Bourke ,then find out about the roads in the morning. We stayed at a nice little Caravan Park at North Bourke called the Kidman Way,nice & green, though most of the green was kahki weed & heaps of it too, pretty flash looking cabins & two pools...$33 a night.
